A Fun Weekend For Jackson!

While the playset was being built, Jackson was in heaven!  On Saturday, Anna Kate came and hung out w/ us most of the day - along w/ his buddy Gaven.  Ben showed up to help - tools and all! (thank goodness for him!)... 

 

On Sunday, J spent most of the day w/ Brett... and they absolutely had a BLAST while Ethan hung w/ little Eli... Building playsets are fun when daddy and his friends do all the work and J gets to play the whole time... doesn't get better than that!

The greatest of friends...

 On Friday, it was delivered... It came in 5 boxes and the slide came separate... 'it' being Jackson and Ethan's new playset.  I badly wanted it last year and this year, I convinced Ryan to get it for the boys as an early birthday present.  :) 

 So Ryan called among our friends.... and boy, do we have good friends or what... They came and worked on Saturday all day long - amazing friends.  It was cold and extremely windy but they worked anyway... some came on both days and worked til the very end and we cannot express how grateful we really are... We are really blessed.  They started Saturday at 800am and worked til Sunday at 600p.  I can't believe they actually got it done that fast!  The sheer number of pieces involved was insane!

So... that's the TV?

I have been amazed, impressed and a little disappointed at times that my little man wouldn't watch the TV.  Up until the last few months, he showed NO interest.... which is so good right?  That's what everyone was telling me... and I agree to a point.  My "bossy bookworm" wouldn't really let me do anything because he wanted to play and read all the time... so let's just say dinner was not cooked, house was not cleaned, etc etc... BUT times have changed recently.  All of a sudden, he started watching it... specifically anything that has animals on it... Little Einsteins and Mickey being his favorites... I am a little grateful.... We won't abuse this but it is nice to know that I can occasionally get some stuff done now.  :)

Chuck E Cheese, Date #3

Thursday night we met up w/ our friends Brad and Darla at Chuck E Cheese for our regular supervised date with Haley and Jackson.  Haley used to go to Jackson's Mother's Day Out school and they were BIG TIME buddies... well, this year, she's been going to a different school and Jackson really misses her!  So this is our third little outing to Chuck E Cheese and these two don't skip a beat picking up where they left off.... They are such cute friends!
