Bumps and Bruises

Since Ethan started walking about 2 1/2 mos ago, he has had so many bumps and bruises on his head, it's unbelievable.  Well, unbelievable if I didn't have a 3 year old who still has bumps and bruises all over his head.  This one was a doozy - fortunately, it cleared up pretty quickly.  He has a bruise on his cheek bone that's been there for literally over 2 weeks.  I wish I could get my boys to SLOW DOWN!  :)  It's all part of growing up and giving mommy gray hair.

Fun City!

With 103 forecasted for Wednesday, my friend Jenny and I decided to get out but stay in... We met up at Fun City to let our boys run and play til their little hearts content.  They did that too.  They hadn't played together in a few weeks, so they really played so well together and it was nice to have some time to talk to my friend too!

Murder in Margaritaland

On Saturday, Ryan and I hosted our 2nd Murder Mystery Party.  This time we co-hosted with our neighbors across the street - Dave and Sharon.  Our theme was Murder in Margaritaland.  Once again, the crowd did not disappoint, and it was an awesome party- complete with On The Border catering, Margarita Man margaritas and homemade Sangria.  We have such awesome friends who came out to party with us!  Our party started at 4p and was still kickin in until 1230am!!  Such a blast!!!  

Ryan's character was Tatum Tatt - a local tattoo artist.  I was the resort top-cop!  Special thanks to my dad for helping me w/ the clothes!!!

Who is beating up who?

So I forgot the proper use of who and whom - so I'll throw it in with my blog title "me and my boys" and just pretend I am purposely using it incorrectly.  :)  

So ONE DAY.....

Jackson was showing me what he learned at gymnastics that day.... I was playing with the camera on my phone and snapped some pics of him doing this - quite impressive, I think!

All of a sudden, this "dinosaur" (as Jackson called him) suddenly appeared and attacked my sweet little gymnast!! OH NO!  If the proof is in the picture, you tell me who is beating up who!?  J - watch out!  Your brother is getting bigger and bigger!

Poor Ryan - the second he arrives home - and I mean the SECOND - he is bombarded with these little excited and attention-seeking eyes.  "DADDY!!"  What excitement and longing he has for his daddy - all day long.  He usually asks me about 2-3 times a day if it's almost time for Daddy to come home from "whoak" (work) - it's precious.  Wonder how much longer he will be so infatuated with his "big strong" daddy?

Sometimes we all like to be a little goofy.  My boys - they like to be goofy ALL the time.  Hey, look at who their father is... can you blame them?  Anyway, so every day after Ethan wakes up from his first nap (when he takes a first nap), Jackson wants to go in with me to wake him up.  This time, J wanted IN the crib so I thought - why not and grabbed my camera... these boys make taking pictures really fun!  Ethan thought having big bro in his bed was really funny!

A Ride On.... Percy?

 Well, that's what Jackson said as we pulled in to the Springdale Train Station on Thursday... He saw the green train and yelled "HI PERCY!"  We were invited to go ride the train with my friend Jennifer and her 3 kids - one of whom is Ethan (yep.)  Ethan and Jackson are best buddies at Mother's Day Out.  Needless to say, they were inseparable as we boarded the train.  They had their tickets in hand and Jackson was in train heaven. Ethan really enjoyed walking the aisles on the train too.  It was a fun ride - we'll definitely do it again soon.
