Cabo San Lucas!

Every year, since we've been married, Ryan and I take a trip together, just the two of us.  Some trips are extravagent - like Maui last year - and some years it's simple - like when Ryan was in grad school and we went to Eureka Springs for a weekend.  Now that we've had kids, none of these trips would be possible without the help of my mother!  She's incredibly generous and always has been.  This year, we opted to go to Cabo because we wanted an All-Inclusive and we used airline miles.  Cabo was the only place that worked with our needs.  I was hoping to go in Oct/Nov timeframe when C was a bit older, but the flights wouldn't work in our favor for that.  This year, my aunt Becky took her own personal vacation days to come help my mom with my kids!  I seriously owe them both tons!  Ryan and I had a blast!  We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, and it was spectacular.  The grounds were gorgeous, the food was incredible and we LOVED it.  We ate like royalty and relaxed that way as well.  In fact, Ryan and I only left the resort to go over to the other resort 1 mile away.  That's it.  One day, it was a bit rainy/cloudy, so I parked myself in a hammock and spent 5 straight hours in that hammock.  Another day, I spent 4 hours in a shaded pool chair.  I finished "Bloom" in no time and half way thru another book - not to mention hours playing games on my iPad...  It was fabulous.  At this particular stretch of private beach, you are not allowed to get into the ocean.  The waves are fierce... Like, over-my-head-at-the-shore kind of fierce. But the pool made up for it, so you never felt you were missing anything.. 

It was a very very relaxing 4 days that I'm thankful that I was able to get... even though after about day 2, I was ready to get home to my baby boy!!  I'm still so glad we went!

The grounds were breathtaking!!

 We listened to a dumb timeshare presentation for a few hours and got beachside massages in exchange!  It was probably the best massage I've ever had in my life!!  It was incredible!!!

 We went to a fancy dinner one night... 5 Star/5 Diamond Restaurant... They said there was a dress code so Ryan couldn't wear his flip-flops but that tennis shoes were "probably ok."  HA!  This is all he had, but we got it and it was wonderful!  I took lots of pictures of the food!!  :)

 

Grandma Time.

 

My grandma actually came and spent a few nights with me over Labor Day weekend when Ryan was in Michigan for his annual golf trip.  It was awesome having her here!  Christian is instantly comfortable with her... She definitely has a way w/ the babies!! 

I love this pic so much because somehow my three munchkins, who are almost impossible to take pictures of - esp to get them to look/smile at a big ol' camera lens - are all doing it but my grandma is the one not looking!  Makes me laugh.

FINALLY.

 

On Sept 3rd,  after lots and lots of playtime on the floor practicing, he finally rolled back over to his tummy from his back.  5 1/2 mos old - little stinker.  He may be my laziest baby of all!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO blessed.

Jumperoo!!

I was told when I was pregnant with Jackson that I really needed to buy a Jumperoo.... but I didn't.  And I was told again when I was pregnant with Ethan... but I didn't.  Well, third time's a charm!  I found a Jumperoo at Rhea Lana's for $25 and Christian is thrilled!  He bounces so well in that thing - I just giggle every time I see him bouncing away.  I'm so glad we bought one and definitely have a tiny regret for not buying it 2 babies ago, but that's ok!!  Christian has so many leftovers that he deserves one thing that's not been recycled (at least by his brothers. I did buy a USED one. HA!).

Playin' At the Park.

I truly love these precious kids.  It started with the 3 big ones and now there are 3.5 small ones too....(the half strapped onto me, therefore not in this pic) and one more to arrive in January!!  Lovin' how we've all grown up and multiplied.  It's a beautiful thing.  I think these precious kids would agree. :)

 

Back to School Party!

The week before school started, my friend Melanie had a back-to-school party for the kids.  It was an amazing set up and the kids had a blast! Ethan refused to get in the group pic because he was under the impression only girls should take the pic (despite the twins AND Jackson in there - I can't explain my children's minds.)  So he was happy to take a pic w/ Gavin later.  :)  It was a fun party!!

I was in denial, but I'm coming to grips with it.  At least for now, it's totally adorable.

Yep.  He peed on me.  Obviously I took too long to get his bath ready. Good memories, nonetheless.
