Paint Date.

 My boys love to paint.. so we decided to do just that the other day... but since I have the baby most of the time in my arms, we opted for garage painting this time!  Ethan covered himself from head to toe... and Jackson had a minor mishap with paint.  :)  What fun!

These two boys have literally become best friends! I seriously love watching these guys grow up together.  I'm thankful that they are only 26 months apart and finally at the point where they can play at the same level.  They both enjoy playing with each other and equally, they love fighting with each other.  I'd like to say that Jackson is always the instigator and the tough guy, but honestly, Ethan holds his own. His favorite move is to bear hug Jackson and pull him to the ground.  Being that Jackson is only 5 pounds heavier, Ethan doesn't have much trouble taking him down. Ethan has started showing a lot of interest in super heroes - only because "Bubba" love super heroes.  They have completely different personalities and their hearts are different... They are totally adorable, goofy and insanely wild.  I really love them, exactly how they are.  :)

What's important.

Sometimes I let things, time, obstacles cloud my vision.  I get overwhelmed by stuff...The things I think I "have" to do... I HAVE to get that load of laundry done.  I HAVE to clean up the kitchen.  I HAVE to write those thank you cards.  But ya know... life keeps going.  Even if I don't get those things done... I am starting to realize that those things can wait.  What's more important are these moments that I can't get back... Like watching Christian smile his first smiles... and listening to Ethan sing me his new favorite song "Go Tell It On the Mountain" over and over... and playing games with Jackson and watching his face light up when he actually beats me.  With each baby, I've changed as a mom.  This time around, I find myself saying "oh well" more than I ever have.  I haven't updated this blog.  I haven't sent birth announcements.  I have only mopped my floor twice since Christian has been born.  Clean laundry stays in the basket for a week sometimes.  But OH WELL.  I have the most incredible husband - a husband I do not deserve... who is patient and kind and loves me so much and who teaches our children about Christ... And I have three healthy, beautiful, sweet kids... who I adore... and what more can I ask for?  I say nothing.

 Very sweet friends.  Jackson and Ethan Winant.  I honestly think Jackson LOVES him with his whole heart.  He prays for him almost every night and colors pictures for him... asks to play with him every day.  It's such a sweet friendship.  Love these two boys.

 After being bribed to TRY the bouncy house, Ethan realized he loved it, but wanted me to go down with him each time.  He would say "mommy, again!!" and up the big bouncy stairs we went... I was so happy to comply with his requests!!

This guy...

... is pretty darn amazing.  This week, he's started to look at us and smile.  Oh my... that is just THE BEST.  :)  He is still losing his hair - boo - but it doesn't change his cuteness.. and yes, I'm bias.  :)  He got a new toy from Aunt Carla and Uncle Dave and he just loves it!  He kicks his feet on there and it plays music..and he's loving the mirror on top so he can stare at his good looks... Oh... and he slept 7 hours overnight for me!!  SOOOO happy about that!  I'm just crazy about this kid.  He's pretty cool. 

Jackson's 5 Yr Old Physical!

Jackson is turning 5 this month!  So, we went in for his 5 year old vaccines and physical... He did amazing!  He got 2 shots in the legs and he didn't even cry... He weighs 37 pounds - in the 30th percentile.  I asked the doc about his rapid breathing... I asked if this could in fact be asthma (he said yes) but we don't know because he's too young to test for it.. it could be triggered by allergies (so we should continue the allegra) and as far as allergy testing - he said if it's seasonal allergies, there's not much we can do about it and to test for seasonal allergies, we should just wait and see if he's having this problem in the late summer... SO!  We are just waiting I guess... Jackson was a total trooper during the whole appointment.  I can't hardly believe my big boy is about to be 5 years old!!

SIX weeks old today!

Enjoying this weather!

The weather is crazy in April... 40 degrees one day and 80 the next... So on our 80 degree days, we have been trying to get out as much as we could!  I snapped a few pics of these precious kiddos at the park the other day!  I just adore these sweet kids... and I love that they are all best friends.

 

1 Month Old!

It's hard to believe my little man is one month old!! I weighed him and he's 9 pounds, 6oz as of today.  This little man is absolutely precious.  He is starting to show some personality.. He loves to be held, like all the time.  He sleeps so well at night - going 5-6 hours sometimes, but 4 hours pretty consistently.  His hair is just starting to fall out - which makes

me sad because I love his hair... (Ethan's never fell out, but Jackson's did.).  He is growing very fast... He's growing out of his newborn clothes and moving into 0-3 mos.  I just weaned him from breastfeeding and so he's taking a bottle now and he's doing GREAT!  His gassiness seems to be better now too... He is still super fussy around 7-10pm, but after that, he sleeps great.  You know, it's so easy for forget the little sounds they make and their tiny little toes and the feeling of them resting on your shoulder when you rock them... I just don't want to forget it this time.  I'm trying so hard to bottle him up.. he's my last baby, after all.... and he's already a month old. :(  I'm so blessed to have this little guy... and my 2 other little guys... and my big guy.  Everything is well with my soul.  :)
